History
Caprock Federal Credit Union was established October 19, 1966 when Dawson County public employees came together under a common bond. These people were employed by the City of Lamesa, the Lamesa Fire Department, Dawson County, Lamesa Independent School District, and the State of Texas in Dawson County. The credit union remained this way for twenty-three years until the Medical Arts Hospital Employees joined the credit union in 1989. Over the next eighteen years the credit union welcomed 55 new select employee groups. Caprock Federal Credit Union remains focused in its mission of providing a trustworthy and progressive organization dedicated to building long term relationships through efficient products and services.
